Description:
At 146 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Charleston, moving north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Charleston, Nitro, Jefferson, South Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar,
Sissonville, Poca, Cross Lanes, Institute, Coal Fork, and Bancroft.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 1 and 6.
Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 96 and 121.
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 46 and 57.
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 92 and 95.
Route 119 between mile markers 72 and 80.
