At 229 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles east of Fremont, or 12 miles northeast of Goldsboro, moving north at 30 mph. HAZARD...Nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wilson, Elm City, Sharpsburg, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Macclesfield, Saratoga, Eureka, Tar River Reservoir, and Willbanks.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central North Carolina.
