Description:
At 1247 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles west of Atlanta, moving north at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Pleasant, Queen City, Maud, Mandeville, Nash, Red Hill, Domino,
Douglassville, Leary, Redwater, Pleasant Hill, Texarkana, Hervey, Red
Lick, Atlanta, Red Bank, Wake Village, Homan, Genoa, and Hooks.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 PM CDT for
northeastern Texas.
