Description:
At 130 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles west of Waskom to near Center. Movement
was northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Deberry, Keat Chie, Front, Elysian Fields, Spring Ridge, Stonewall,
Mooringsport, Cross Lake, Logansport, Leigh, Midyett, Kickapoo,
Stanley, Keithville, Deadwood, Reeds Store, Gloster, Oil City,
Waskom, and Caddo Lake.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 PM CDT for
eastern and northeastern Texas.
