At 309 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Welsh, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Mowata, Maxie, Welsh, Evangeline, Jennings, Roanoke, Egan, Iota, Lacassine, Hathaway, Thornwell, Mermentau, and Eunice. This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 50 and 77.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
