Description:
At 311 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Aguilares, or 25 miles west of Hebbronville, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Oilton, Ranchitos Las Lomas, Mirando City, Aguilares, and Bruni.
This includes US Highway 59 between mile markers 800 and 818.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for
south central Texas.
