At 527 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Port Lavaca, moving north at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Port Lavaca, Point Comfort, Alamo Beach, Placedo, Green Lake, Inez, Tivoli, and Long Mott. This includes the following highways... US Highway 59 near mile marker 622. US Highway 87 between mile markers 824 and 840.
