Description:
At 332 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Vincennes, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Vincennes, Washington, Bicknell, Carlisle, Elnora, Oaktown, Monroe
City, Wheatland, Bruceville, Plainville, Sandborn, Montgomery,
Edwardsport, Merom, Cannelburg, Alfordsville, Graysville,
Freelandville, Vincennes University, and Turtle Creek Reservoir.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cl Storms later today will move from west to east at 15 to
20 mph. oud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 AM EDT for southwestern
Indiana.
