At 249 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near San Marcos to near Garden Ridge to Government Canyon State Natural Area. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Schertz, Kyle, Seguin, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Boerne, Selma, Wimberley, San Antonio Int Airport, Randolph AFB, Canyon Lake Dam, Canyon Lake, Leon Valley, Helotes, and Fair Oaks Ranch.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
