Description:
At 1244 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles south of Goodland to 8 miles north of
Sharon Springs. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Wallace and south central Sherman Counties.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM MDT for
northwestern and west central Kansas.
