Description:
At 600 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles east of Blanche to near Sand Rock.
Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Little River Canyon National Preserve, Gaylesville, Blanche, Eastern
Weiss Lake, Western Weiss Lake, Broomtown, Fullerton, New Moon, and
Waterhouse.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
northeastern Alabama.
