Description:
At 1005 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Low Gap to near Marion
to near Consul. Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Selma, Brent, Valley Grande, Marion, Centreville, Selmont-West
Selmont, Orrville, Bogue Chitto, Vaiden, Tyler, Dannelly Reservoir,
Brierfield Ironworks Park, Paul M Grist State Park, Low Gap, Mertz,
Dallas Lake, Talladega National Forest, Eoline, Memorial Stadium, and
Burnsville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
