At 125 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Grit, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Mason, Pontotoc, Fredonia, Grit, Katemcy, Camp San Saba, Streeter, Camp Air, Voca, The Intersection Of Highway 29 And Ranch Road 1222, and Koockville.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo.
