Description:
At 716 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Smithville, moving northeast at around 30 mph. This storm is
expected to move into the Burleson and Washington County area within
the next hour or so.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Brenham, Caldwell, Somerville, Snook, Burton, Lake Somerville Dam,
Lake Somerville State Park & Trailway, Carmine, Lyons, Deanville,
Independence, and Quarry.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
