At 231 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Metairie, moving north at 10 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... New Orleans Armstrong Airport, Metairie, Elmwood, Jefferson, Harahan, Avondale, Waggaman, Bridge City, River Ridge, Westwego, Ama, and St. Rose. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 218 and 229. Interstate 310 near mile marker 1.
