Description:
At 524 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles southwest of State Line to 4 miles east
of Fruitdale to near Wagarville. Movement was north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Saint Stephens, State Line, Wagarville, Fruitdale, Chatom, Jackson,
Tibbie, Leroy, and Buckatunna.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
southeastern Mississippi.
