Description:
At 642 AM EDT/542 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of Panama
City Beach to 19 miles west of Panama City. Movement was southeast
at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Panama City, Lynn Haven, Panama City Beach, Springfield, Hiland Park,
Tyndall Air Force Base, St Andrews State Park, Southport, Seminole
Hills, Cedar Grove, Dirego Park, Beacon Beach, Gulf Resort Beach,
West Panama City, Bahama Beach, Biltmore Beach, Sunnyside, Millville,
Vicksburg, and Bayhead.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
