Description:
At 1215 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Alexander City, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Alexander City, Dadeville, Camp Hill, Kellyton, Jacksons' Gap,
Hillabee Creek, Northern Lake Martin, Wind Creek State Park, Eastern
Lake Martin, Fishpond, Ray, Horseshoe Bend National Military Park,
Dare Park, Eagle Creek, and Horseshoe Bend.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
east central Alabama.
