At 115 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southwest of Onion Valley Campground, or 15 miles southwest of Independence, moving north at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Charlotte Lake, Tyndall Creek Ranger Station, Charlotte Lakes Ranger Station, and Upper Tyndall Creek.
