Description:
At 203 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Bernardo, or 20 miles southwest of Belen, moving
northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Belen, Veguita, Bernardo, Casa Colorada, Jarales, Los
Trujillos-Gabaldon, Rio Communities, Los Chaves, Sabinal and
Abeytas.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 173.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 170 and 193.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
