Description:
At 211 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles west of South Valley, or 19 miles west of Albuquerque, moving
east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque,
Paradise Hills, South Valley, Cabezon, Rio Rancho Intel Area,
North Valley and Vista Hills.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 135 and 164.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 218 and 233.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
