Description:
At 324 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles west of Mescalero Park to 6 miles west
of Palo Duro Canyon. Movement was northeast at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Amarillo, Mescalero Park, Pantex, Lake Tanglewood, Timbercreek
Canyon, Canyon, Washburn, and Palo Duro Canyon.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 27 between mile markers 101 and 123.
Interstate 40 between mile markers 61 and 105.

This is a preceeding gust front ahead of thunderstorms.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
the Panhandle of Texas.
