Description:
At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sparr to near Chester Township to near
Hartwick Pines State Park. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Gaylord, Grayling, Lewiston, Elmira, Frederic, Lovells, Vanderbilt,
Sparr, Otsego Lake State Park, Pickerel Lake, Johannesburg, South
Branch Township, Chester Township, Eastern Corwith Township, Waters,
and Hartwick Pines State Park.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
northern Michigan.
