Description:
At 618 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Sicangu Village, or near Valentine, moving south
at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Valentine, Kilgore, Crookston, and Highway 97 crossing the Niobrara
River.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 20 between mile markers 172 and 206.
Highway 97 between mile markers 130 and 141.
Highway 83 between mile markers 203 and 222.
Highway 12 between mile markers 1 and 8.
